SHP office looks down into Bengals Stadium. Old photos of me were taken by Jim Orem who was a neighbor when going to photography school. I had brown hair then.
While I had to get a floor poured first, This MZ75 power hammer from Ken’s Iron in Minnesota was my going away present from the firm.
Made this for Dan Dodge of Monarch. He was the Supt. on the Norwood Middle School. It is a hook for a horse collar decoration for Dan’s wife.
It was the last project I worked on before retirement.
I gave several pieces to my co-workers during my part of the retirement party. These Hooks were made the week before from scrap I picked up in the old barn shop. There were also barbecue forks, letter openers, all mementos from me to my closest co-harts...
November 15, 2018, the eve of my retirement, the firm had a going away party for me. After a Jepardy game titled "Shit Gary Says" I was given the floor to disperse hand forged Iron gifts to some of the people special to me. Pretty funny I think, so I want to share it.
